Best coach in school history, finally made Ole Miss semi-relevant, and now they are in a nightmare scenario.

I may have missed it, but no one has asked: Should Hugh Freeze be fired for these major violations?

I see a show-cause in his near future.

If there is a show cause then he will be fired but we are a long way from that. This has to be looked into but shouldn't be impossible to get to the bottom of for the NCAA.

Yes it's been asked last night as has almost everything that's been posted this morning.

That said, it's interesting to say the least. Time will tell.

Even I, a State fan know this isnt correct.

Johnny Vaught is their best coach in school history.

Yes. He won't last the weekend. That's obvious. Firing Hugh is our only hope of avoiding the death penalty at this point.

He'll cry like Jimmy Swaggart holding a bible and cross and ask for forgiveness. Then plead ignorant.

I don't see how they have any other option. The NCAA has tried to catch programs red handed doing this stuff for awhile now, but before now the "deny, deny, deny" defense has worked. I don't think it possibly can at this point. I'm no legal expert, but I'm pretty sure that guy just gave them all the evidence they need to do whatever the hell they want to Ole Miss. And considering they have came out of this same thing numerous times before with egg all over their face, I would assume they're going to come down HARD on Ole Miss.

Ole Miss may have to fire everyone from the Athletic Director down to the ball boys.

Actually it was backpacks full of money.

Bjork, Barney, & John are as good as gone. The new AD will probably make a recommendation on Freeze.

Freeze loses games he shouldn't after going around the country buying 5 stars.

Ole Miss basically can't fire anyone now. If they start firing people, that makes them look even more guilty. Their only option is to deny all of this and hope for the best

I don't know. I mean, it's blatantly obvious they ARE guilty. Of course everyone is to some degree, but the problem has always been proving it.

I could see them admitting to a lack of institutional control and cleaning house.

Otherwise they may find themselves in a WORLD of hurt. Think SMU.
