Does it bother you to see ESPN profit off of college players?

Espn is making all kinds of money running a story off a player making profits (albeit illegally) off the name made through his own hard work. The players take all the risk while the school and ESPN make huge profits.

Jesus Christ...

No. Why would it? Should ESPN broadcast games for free?

The kids know the rules before they walk on campus, so please...

Yeah the system needs an overhaul. As a law student at LSU my scholarship covered more than Patrick Peterson's football scholarship did. That's ridiculous.

Well if the players really don't like it that much, they could stop playing.

I am not against ESPN making money.

However Tubbs was right years ago: ESPN has too much power over college football.

Not really. They only make so much because people like us watch. It could be a lot more difficult for fans, and have no college football on TV

Doesn't bother me, but they should receive a percentage of the bowl money, and they need to be allowed to leave after 1 year like basketball.

what's your problem? espn is a corporation that sells sports news and sports feaure programs for profit. they did not "invent" this story to make profit. it is their job to report NEWSWORTHY sports stories. the heisman trophy winner, a freshman and the most exciting qb in the game, is being accused of a major ncaa violation. it is news. the college game is news. saying that espn makes profits off of college players is absurd. are you a communist?

When is the last time someone got drafted by the NFL that didn't play college football?

No. Are you serious? Take ESPN off the air, who does it harm more?

Doesn't bother me at all. Does it bother you when players who can barely read have the same degree you do?

If you want to watch players compensated well for playing football, the NFL is right there waiting for you.

You're right. Spending five years on that sociology diploma will really pay dividends.

I only have a problem with the talking heads on ESPN getting on their soap box and accusing the NCAA of exploitation when the company they work for and the talking heads themselves (albeit indirectly) are profiteering form that exact exploitation.

No one's forcing them to go to college. Don't like the system? Get a real job like the rest of us.
