I am mainly directing this to Bama, LSU, UF, UT, UGA, and Auburn fans. Are you only happy when your team wins? Do you think you are to vested in a sport played by college kids?

Honestly, I had more fun before it became championship or bust. Thoughts?

I think it's a win/win when you see it.

The older I get, the less impact wins and losses have on my everyday life. It's to a point where it doesn't really impact my life at all.

Football season in general makes me happy.

My team brings me more sadness than joy but I'm used to it being from Atlanta.

Im happier. But I don't cease to have a good time tailgating if we lose. Spending time with friends is always fun, no matter the outcome.

Wait until you get into your late 60s. That's why I love giving the younger Auburn and LSU fans hell...it means the world to them, but it's further down on my list of priorities.

State fans aren't in the same category, but I never thought I would be this unsatisfied with the Orange Bowl and a #7 ranking. It's even worse because in reality only Bama, AU, LSU, Oregon, FSU, Ohio State, Texas, Oklahoma, and a few others will ever achieve more than that, outside of a once in 20 year miracle run.

The one great thing about pro sports is the salary caps keep everyone at least on somewhat of an even playing field.

Not a BIG 6 fan, but as a lifelong Mississippi State football fan the three week stretch beating LSU, A&M, and Auburn and rising from unranked to number 1 in the nation was probably some of the happiest times ive ever had in my life.

I just love football Saturdays in the fall. The whole experience - tailgating, eating, drinking, hopefully being entertained by the game. Whether Alabama wins or not is important to the experience, but I can still have a lot of fun on Saturdays when Alabama loses.

At this point, I have found myself being more relieved than "joyful" when Alabama wins. I think Alabama has been favored in every game for several years now, so when Alabama loses everyone notices and over reacts. When Alabama wins, everyone seems to just have a no big deal / that was expected reaction.

You have to resist the temptation to think of it as championship or bust or it can kind of suck some of the fun out of it.

Well this year was pretty miserable because watching our offense was about as fun watching paint dry. It sucks a lot of the enjoyment out. 2013 was a lot more enjoyable.
