I'm not too sure with JJ throwing more and Bama probably running a little more. Auburn had ~400 more yards last season.

That's what happens when your whole offense revolves around an option/spread formation.

I would say yes. Roc, Robinson and Barber are a nasty trio to deal with. JJ's ability to pass will only open up the run more.

I'm going to guess Bama will be right around 210 YPG on the ground and air. Whether AU will run as much as previous years is up in the air, but we shall see.

The bama running attack isn't as impressive as years past and auburn seems to have more depth. Auburn will outrush and out pass you guys

I'm not convinced Kiffin will run it as much as he should. I think AU easily out-gains Bama on the ground.

If Auburn's OL performs well there offense is going to be Nasty. Now if their shitty D can improve will be the question. I expect they will lose 3 unless thy defense is any good.

Bama will plod along like always and not sure how they will look this year other than Henry and others running their asses off.

Eta didn't mean plod in a negative way but more in the way of consistency.

No. We have a good QB with an arm.

They will have about the same total rushing yards but Auburn will have the edge in yards per game since Alabama's will be over 15 games and Auburn's will be over 13 games. So I think that would give Auburn the true rushing edge.

Either A: Auburn has a God among men at QB and they rack up a billion yards passing. Or.. B: The bottom just completely drops out for the Auburn and the Gus Bus heads back to the Sun Belt conference.

Otherwise the Auburn spread option attack generates a ton of rushing yards. The power spread option attack is where Gus hangs his hat. It would be like asking if a mid 70's Bama offense goes pass happy. It could happen. But it most likely won't.

Also a Kiffen planned offense will not be a rockem-sockem power run team. It is not how he rolls.

Yeah, Gus has never adjusted his offense to be pass first or anything

Kiffin loves to pass too much. Not that it would matter anyway.

Bama's OL underwhelmed last year and they have some depth issues at RB... though they may lean more on the running game without Cooper and a Coker being the starter.

YPG and ypr will be higher for auburn... bama may outrush if they win the west (in total yardage).

The team with the better OL & DL will usually prevail...but not in passing yds....teams lose 48-42 and throw for 490 yds.

Superior athletes at RB, QB & Wrs can dictate a game, but its rushing yds that win games...if you run for more yds than your opponent you will win 89% of the time and the 11% is usually because of flags, turnovers and special team blunders.
