Does anyone think the playoffs will cause conferences to not have champ. games?

It wont matter until their is a real playoffs.Only when you have 8+ teams will conferences even entertain the idea.

A conference game could also launch you into the playoff where you might not have made it before.

I still think it should be straight up conference champs and just make the thing mathematical. If a 9-3 team beats a 12-0 team then tough luck and off they go to the 4 team playoff.

If having an undefeated season puts you into the playoff then everyone will water down their schedules and people you could see people wanting to drop the conf championship because it's risky.

If being undefeated doesn't matter and it's just conference champs then teams may schedule tough out of conference games to make their teams better and that'd be good for cfb.
