does anyone else in the sec have a former 2-star starting at left tackle?

or anywhere else on your entire team? last year it was our qb. this year it's our guy watching our six snaps of experience qb's backside. oh, and our starting dt is a 2-star. the cupboard is bare here guys. seriously, does anyone have 2-stars starting? vandy, don't answer.

What sites do you use? None of that is correct (except QB Thompson who is now a QB for the SF 49'rs.)
Shell is the LT, he was a 4*/5* depending on the site. Fail so hard.

Ask the Grinders. They'll tell you all about it. Last year they were a couple of bad breaks from winning a Natty with almost nothing but 2* guys.
Because CDM is all about coaching up diamonds. And he gives seniors starting time regardless.
This year, they're replacing most of those guys with 4*s. So, watch out.

dixon was 2 stars on some sites. zandi was 2 on all. is zandi starting on the right side? fine. he is starting though. my point is valid. it's back to the old days here.

Our starter was a 5*, sorry, but our backup LT was a 2*.. but he's an "underrated" "diamond in the rough" who is "football smart" and "scrappy"

We had a walk on playing on a torn ACL starting at RT last year. Luckily we've transformed our roster going into year 3 and won't have to worry about that going forward.

I think its more of an indication of developing talent, something some schools that get the big name recruits do not do well
*cough* UT *cough*
We've always taken chances on lower rated players and we've always been successful with a significant percentage of them.
eta- Also how has this awful and obvious alter not gotten the permaban yet?

I don't believe we have any starting this year (I think most of them are 4*, some 3* and 5*.) I'm sure we have started several the past few years.
