Do you think Derrick Henry regrets going to Bama now that LF was drafted 4th overall?

I ask this question because I recently had a bama friend ask me if I thought LF regretted not going to bama since he was unable to win the Heisman or any championships at LSU. I told him that LF was content with his decision because he will be a very wealthy man soon, and will always be a legend in Louisiana.

I thought I would flip the script and ask bama fans if they think Derrick is questioning his decision to attend bama now that LF was drafted so much higher than him with so much less production as a draft eligible junior.

Let's take a look at both of their junior seasons and try to figure out what went wrong for Derrick.....

Games played:
DH-15
LF-7

Att:
DH-395
LF-129

Yds:
DH-2219
LF-843

TDs:
DH-28
LF-8

Championships and individual awards:
DH- Led his team to the SEC Title and the National Championship.
He won the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Doak walker Award, Walter Camp Award, Unanimous All-American, First Team All-SEC,and the SEC Offensive Player of the Year.
LF- 0 championships. Second Team All-SEC.

NFL Draft pick:
LF-4th pick overall
DH-45th pick overall

Total Value of NFL contract:
LF- 27,200,000 mil
DH- 5,400,000 mil

How did DH had fall into the 2nd rd of the NFL draft with so much production and so many individual awards?(he broke the SEC single season rushing record held by Herschel since 1981)

Do you think DH regrets going to bama now?

Henry was never going to be a top five pick no matter where he went.

LF will always be remembered as a failure in college football. Overrated from the very beginning, now he has to try to live up to the hype of going 4th overall. I have been a critic of DH in the NFL, but he did make a name for himself in college.

Do you think LF wishes he'd have gone to Bama?

He'd have multiple rings and a Heisman Trophy and Rueben wouldn't have made him look like a pussy on live TV.

This may be true, but every RB who won the Heisman since OJ Simpson (1968) has been drafted in the 1st rd.

Check it out.

I think my question is fair. DH has to be questioning why LF went 4th overall when he sat out half the season and skipped the bowl game. Then he showed up at the NFL combine overweight and only scored an 11 on the Wonderlic.

So the guy who got drafted 45th made a better name for himself than the guy who got drafted 4th?

You're very very bright.

if you actually led what you typed then you would understand why people ask is LF Fred's not going to Bama . He could have had better stats and won a championship and still would have been drafted high. LF didn't win anything in college .

I doubt he regrets it as much as LSU fans do. He made LSU his bitch.

Maybe if DH had quit after 3 games his last year like LF he would have been drafted higher.

I disagree. The NFL ain't touching any bama RB in the 1st rd as long as Saban is there. DH broke the SEC single season rushing record held by Herschel since 1981 and they still refused to spend a 1st rd draft pick on him. To make matters worse, they drafted his Center (Ryan Kelly) ahead of him. That has never been done before.

LF trusted Frank Wilson and Les more than he did the swag-vampire of Tuscaloosa with his career. It paid off nicely. Don't you think?

Dude, this is silly. LF7 would have loved to have championships and a Heisman.

It was known before he even started college that LF was gonna be a first round pick. Yes the guy who got drafted 45th made a better name for himself in college than the guy who got drafted 4th

You know, after a million dollars, there really isn't that much of a gap between wealthy and just flat out filthy rich.

He probably wouldn't have went anywhere higher if he had went anywhere else. Bama having so many 5* on the field at once makes the rest of them look better and covers up their flaws.
