Yes. I have onboard telemetry plus my NAZA flight controller has an accelerometer that relays any impact on drone. Most of the higher end ones also have redundancy if one system fails.

I apologize for my comment then, and also edited it so as not to sound rude. I have a hard time imagining a drone surviving several hits to the props by paint balls. I have 25 year old scars from paint balls, their impact is quite significant.

Carbon fiber blades I'm telling you. People would be astonished at the technology available for drones. It was very DARPA 10 years ago. I have carbon fiber blades for mine but usually use the glass reinforced composite blades because the carbon fiber blades "ring" at certain speeds.

As is true with so many legal issues, interpretation of laws applying to the use of drones above property is complex and in a state of flux. The FAA will most likely address the matter and then you will have and have had state and local governments addressing the issue as well. Inevitably there will be an issue as to which entity has the authority to address drone flight or whether it is some kind of shared authority.
This current law review article is probably the best and most comprehensive I've seen so far regarding a legal in depth analysis of the matter, specifically focusing on the rights of private property owners. LINK

I don't like 'em. I know they are just trying to see my bald spot so they can laugh at it later.
