I still care for it. I just don't go batshite crazy over a loss. Comes with maturity and old age I guess. Used to, I would bitch and complain the entire ride back home from the stadium and then stay up half the night. Now, after having been a HS coach for a large part of my career, I just let it roll off my back. My livelihood doesn't depend on the outcome, unless I was a gambling addict and I am not.

No. LSU loses...meh. I'm not losing sleep over some 19 y/o kids who miss a tackle, catch, etc.

Also, if it is a beautiful fall day out, I'm not going to be glued in doors watching game after game.

I still love college ball, but I'm done with the NFL.

Haven't been interested in the NFL since I went to college.

Probably more emotionally involved now than I was before.

Only issue I have is that I have a bit of guilt being a fan because of the concussion issues.

It sucks and it's ironic but I cared more about it when Mike Dubose was coach and not just because I was a student then. I was knee deep involved when Shula was coach then Saban came along and changed everything. It isn't near as exciting when you know you are going to win every time we tee off. I knew we would make the playoffs the last 2 yrs before the season started just like I already know we are a playoff team this year. Takes a lot of the fun out of it.

I don't love the actual game as much as I used to but I love the game day routine as much as ever. After a long work week, there's nothing like setting up the tv under the gazebo, firing up the grill and drinking beer. I enjoy it all the way up until the last west coast game is over although I usually can't really remember how that one plays out.

Its amazing what having kids will do to priorities. When my kids have games opposite a Bama game, I completely forget Bama is playing. I never thought that would have been possible 20 years ago.

Spending the first few months with a child in the NICU (he's fine now)will really put your priorities in order. The Saints Super Bowl win was the first and only football game that I watched that season

Yeah, I have lost much of my desire to watch multiple college games each week. I never was a huge pro fan other than when I was an ardent Saints fan.

I know that as I have gotten older, I have found other things more important to spend my time on, but Les Miles was also a major culprit in my decline. Miles' conservative coaching style and downright archaic offensive philosophy made me dislike him much more than the opponent LSU was playing.

Message boards have changed things. Now, anybody can whine and get attention. I would never have known about all the butt hurt amongst fans without it.

I'm not sure that is a good thang, however.

I'm a fan of the university...not the coach. The only coach I hated to see go in my lifetime was Doug Dickey

The SJW movement is slowly bleeding my interest in it, especially the NFL.

Same here. I don't get the highs and especially the lows like I used to over football.

I'm having the same thing.

I think part of it is getting older, but I think a part of it is also being an Alabama fan I've become numb to success.

Regardless, I miss the days of it feeling like life and death.

My interest in NFL is 0. It used to be maybe 4/10 when I was younger. I don't give a crap bout it now. The play is terrible, the climate around it is terrible, the politics is terrible. frick the NFL.

I had begun to care a bit less, but with the outside world being so fricking shitty these days I am beginning to escape back into it. CFB in the Fall is one of the few truly good things out there. That being said, once snow is on the mountain, I'll be on my snowboard and not in front of a TV...so basically, it stops at CFB, frick the NFL.
