I really enjoy watching college football, any team any time. I love the sport more than ever but don't get near as upset or excited if my team loses or wins. The die hard fan of my school is g as much but I love the sport and all it brings

Stopped following NFL after their last "strike". Will catch a game if I'm at someone's house and they watch it but I don't care who wins. Haven't turned on an NFL game in years.
College seems to be headed in that direction so my interest has waned. Too much drama from the players in recruiting and in general. Once they start paying the players, I think it is inevitable, then the game will be ruined for me.
Too many other really important things in life for me to let what happens, when 20 somethings win or lose a game, affect me.

I used to be REALLY into it, both college and pro. I'd follow all the teams and knew what was happening. The last couple of years, I've gradually lost interest in it. Work and family have picked up, I guess. Too busy with life, perhaps? I don't know. I'll watch games this Fall, but I'm not nearly as excited about it as I used to be.
Anyone else like that?
Well... you sound like you might be turning....gay.

I've lost total interest in the NFL. Too many whiners and crybabies in the pros plus shite like refusing to stand for the national anthem etc. I'll still watch the super bowl but that's about it.
I used to be the biggest Saints fan. Either went to or watched every game. Listened to the pregame and 3 hours of post game on WWL New Orleans. My how things have changed.

I'm more of a general LSU fan now as in I care about the school itself. Football is a nice distraction

I agree when the weather cools off and I have a chance to spend time with the family or watch games all day, I go with the family. I will of course watch Bama play but I don't get excited like I did in my 20's and 30's. The first week of CFB was like Christmas morning as a kid.

Still enjoy the college game. Haven't watched a pro game in years, including the Super
Bowl. I'll watch the occasional Red Sox game but don't keep up with baseball either .
I do watch a ton of soccer, especially the EPL.

I started dating my wife in 2005..married after 2 years, kid 1 year later, then another a year after that, then another 2 years later. At each stage, less time. Mostly, I've cut back on NFL and recruiting. In 2004, I had watched a ton of NFL, and had watched highlights on every last Auburn prospect, new the HS # on every commit. I knew more about Bama and LSU recruits than I do about AU's now...because I thought there some some value in me, the fan, knowing my "enemy". I NEVER missed an SEC game that was televised.
Now, I watch NFL when it's convenient...same with SEC games..and might check out a big commit but don't study other teams' commits...the only thing I've drawn my line in the sand with is Auburn games..I NEVER miss and watch every min...watch most games twice

It was a pretty quick transition for me in my early-mid 20's when I was working seven days a week and just didn't have time to keep up with more important things in my life weighing on me.
I still watch for entertainment, but it will never be as important to me as it was in college when I could name the 2-deep chart and knew who a lot of players were from their high school careers.

Nothing can compare to lsu having the holy trinity of nick saban, jumbo fisher, and will Muschamp. So the answer for all lsu fans is no.

Football is the only thing that really matters to me and it's basically all I have to look forward to. Yes, I am loser that is dead inside.

I still love to follow it, yes. But I follow it now more than watch it. I like the narrative as much as the game itself.
I don't have time to spend watching football all day Saturday, game after game, like i did in my 20's. I try to catch all the AU games, but even then I watch several of our games on DVR. And when we lose, I rarely ever go back and watch the recorded game.

I still very much follow college football and get excited for Saturday's, but the NFL I could care less about.
The only thing that has waned for me in regards to following college is the recruiting.
Commitments don't mean what they use to so when people get excited because we got a good recruit, I'm just indifferent cause nowadays that commitment doesn't mean shite until they actually enroll.
So while everyone gets excited about recruiting, I wait until we see who actually enrolls before raising my expectations.

Almost 63 years old and the older I've gotten the more I realized there are more important things than a game. Still love college football and following UT like I have all my life....Just don't live and die with it like I did 25 years ago.
This. Many times I don't watch the game. Listen to it on the radio while doing something with the family on beautiful fall days. It's a win/win situation even if we lose. Case in point and a stark contrast: Watched last years UT game while grilling out with the entire family. Lost on the last play. My sons were devastatedI was happy. They didn't understand, because they remembered what I used to act like after a loss.....like they were then. I told them it was a great game, with a great ending and I was just glad I had got witness it. It's what makes college football great.

It's called growing up. I still get pretty animated during games but I'm over the outcome within an hour of the game ending. That on top of late games and it being difficult to take the whole family, I've just learned to enjoy the games and when it's over, it's over.
Sums it up perfectly. I still dwell on the heartbreakers a little more than a day, but I'm as animated as ever during. I gave up my season tickets a few years ago due to not being able to take the whole family. And if I had a ticket to every game, I went to EVERY game. I didn't skip out on the lesser match-ups. But I looked back on it and realized that every game I went to was a day that I spent away from my wife and/or kids. Can't get those back and it's just better all-around to be home, watching with all of them and sharing those moments together. That said, I'll be in the stands for App State and probably a few others, but I won't be upset about having to watch from home, either.

Fell out of love with the NFL 4 or 5 years ago. I only have eyes for college and high school football now.

No, thank goodness. I enjoy football so much more now without the bitterness. I honestly enjoy the enthusiasm from other fanbases here on tRant.
I just have a greater appreciation for the game as a whole and not a focused determination on my own team, if that makes sense
