Yes, and Coach Devine did something to piss them off.

No. Only one God that is sovereign over all things.

I pray to the sun and Joe Pesci. It all works out about the same.

If one were to exist, I surely hope it would not take interest in human athletic competitions.

I believe all things happen for the glory of God, including the seemingly petty things.

Absolutely, but the things they choose to let piss them off have always perplexed

If God called for a man-to-man defense on 4th and 15, then I'm an atheist...

Why not? Who decides what a supernatural entity should and should not be interested in?

YHWH.

but...still, there is some hoodoo going on in sports. Either that or there are 200 people involved in a single game with millions of things that could go wrong throughout a single game.

Every play has at least 40 people involved who could misjudge, misread, miscommunicate, misunderstand, etc.

Maybe the mis-es is what is meant by the "football gods (lil gee). But it is sometimes eerie how they unfold.

There is no God but Bryant and Saban is his prophet.
