Do Vols fans want Butch to beat UF if that means he stays?

I am ready for the Grumors to begin again. Maybe even some Manning rumors this time around. Would be a lot of fun.

Go Big Gators.

Maybe, maybe not, but I'd invite you to take a look here before making this assertion.

I want Butch to crap his pants like Adam Lane did, have to leave, and then have Old Man Debo win as acting head coach and then Butch comes out afterward and is all like, "Process, guys, AMIRITE?!"

Why does everybody think JG is such a great coach?

Are you insinuating that No Stones Jones is better than a Super Bowl winning coach with ties to our university?

Are you kidding? Most people go from six to midnight just looking at the guy.

Its not that he is or is not a great coach, or even a good coach. A lot of guys know X's and O's, but not many guys give your program an immediate image boost just by being there. In CFB, only Saban and Urban do that. Since recruiting is such a huge part of the college game, maybe the most important part, getting a recognizable, popular guy like Gruden would be huge for any program.

I think UF needs to take the bullet and allow UTk to win. We really need to secure Botch's long term financial security.

Butch isn't a good game day coach. Tennessee deserves something better.

Boy, that's putting it mildly.

I'd settle for a mediocre game day coach at this point.

Beat Florida, Arkansas and Georgia and I'm back in. Saturday was fricking inexcusable. I don't see Tennessee ever winning an SEC championship with Big Loss Lyle.

I'm all for Gruden to UT. it will be a disaster. He was atrocious with roster management in Tampa and hasn't coached a game in almost a decade. Coupled by the fact that he likes to install an extremely complex offense and most kids can't process the level of information he requires.

Yep! I think Butch is still a quality coach, I think he needs to get a different OC next year but he as a head coach is stellar. If he were to get someone who could call a good offensive game we would be scary.

1-19 vs ranked teams

So who's to blame for the other 18 failures?

Was Butch Jones favored in any of the 18 losses? I don't expect Central Michigan or Cincinnati to beat many top 25 teams.

That's on him, but this year just started. He got a pass on the last two years based on how depleted the roster was and now is the time to get it together. This was the 2nd week of the season. Once we finish 9-3 and wipe the floor with y'all you can get back to me.

To be completely frank, I'd take a win on a technicality over UF at this point.

I don't think I'm gonna have any luck this year, though.

Oh well. Back to the beansmithing!

As much as I love to see TN fans fall back to reality your right on point. Yall need to relax its a process yall lost to a top 25 team in over time. I've said to all my TN friends 2016 is the year when yall get to play at my home town at the race track!
