Do the Little 8 really have the resources in their wallet to ever become a "Power-Program"

as part of the BIG-6?
Serious question.
The Big-6 kills it each year in profit.
The rest are "fair-weather" year to year in profit.
They are up and down depending on how good their team is.
You really need to invest into your particular teams, honestly, Little 8.
That means fan support and pumping money into your University.
This is the SEC!
Act like it!

All it takes is one booster. Ask Oregon. Or Oklahoma State.

Nike didn't beat Auburn in 2010.
Phil Knight can suck it.

No they do didn't. But look at Oregon athletics across the spectrum. From nothing to competing in everything.

It is cute that you have animosity towards Auburn.

Where exactly is Oregon in every Sport?
Posted on 5/20/17 at 10:33 pm to Mister Tee
Just made a final 4 in the most popular and watched sport in college.
When was Auburn last relevant in any sport without cheating?

The problem is that if you look at the big 6, it's the programs with the largest fan bases. Fan base has alot to do with success in any sport. The more interest you have, the more money and resources you have to be successful. It's more complicated than that though bc who are any of the little 8 going to jump? Bama, lsu, auburn, tennesee, georgia, florida? These are solidified power programs over a long period of time. Miss st, ole miss, ark, south carolina, vandy. Kentucky and mizzou will have a tough time doing that, considering who they have to compete with within conference to do so...not only on the field every year, but in recruiting and national perception as well. It takes time to build a program with the perception that the big 6 schools have in football, it doesnt happen overnight. Texas am is the one school who has no excuse, they have the money, he resources, the facilities, the fan base, the market, and the recruiting base to get into the condo with the big 6. Texas am is a joke.

Basically every sport has seen a renaissance in the last 10-15 years at Oregon.
What's your argument here?

Anomaly, yes. But not improbable.
