If they were on the side of the Confederates in the Civil War, then they belong in the SEC

Any state bordering Mississippi is automatically a southern state. Arkansas has always been a southern state. Missouri will always be a Midwestern state.

Arkansas may be a southern state, but the university has more of a Big XII feel as the conference is primarily central US.

Missouri was fine in the Big XII, but they make more sense in the Big Ten. At least they would have had a rivalry already in place with Illinois.

Missouri was Not a confederate state in the Civil War.

Either way, it is ironic a hog fan is even asking this question...

I've always thought the Arkansas campus had a hybrid Big10 feel about it.

More gothic/limestone, than Greek Revival.

And the design of Old Main was taken from University of Illinois. Illinois was called "Illinois Industrial University", while Arkansas was founded as "Arkansas Industrial University". Both buildings were known as "University Hall" when they opened. IU's building burned down sometime in the past, but here's an old pic:

People in this country are really shite at geography.

HINT: The "midwest" isn't the "middle of the country".

Like is said in another thread it's possible for Missouri residents to live further south than Tennessee residents.
