I am a football coach and I always joke I could win 10 games at Bama if Mike "tremendous challenge but tremendous opportunity " Dubose and Mike Shula can. Lol

I remember the Alabama WR getting thrown to the ground in the endzone and then the LSU DB ran the pick back seems 80 yds or so in 2004.
All the other 97,00,01,03 & 05-07 wins LSU was just the better team.

Who?

I think those years are probably what you have to look forward in the Coach O years.

I'd rather bring back Shula than hire Orgeron.

The records during the Mike years were pretty bad but the teams usually weren't as bad as the record, that was the most frustrating part.

We very rarely got blown out and were usually in almost every major game in the 4th quarter, before fading away and losing pretty much EVERY SINGLE TIME.

No depth and bad coaching will do that.

You know: Mike Dubose, Mike Shula, all twenty-seven minutes of Mike Price and his hookers?

Or did most of you hop on the wagon after Saban's second year in Tuscaloosa?

I would tell you guys to enjoy what Saban is doing, because it will never be paralleled again, but you'll just snag your Ohio State jersey out of the closet and claim your new allegiance.

What a little bitch you are. Presumptuous, too.

To those Alabama fans, all ten percent of you, who have truly been fans your whole lives -- even when they were awful after Gene Stallings -- this post is not for you.

To the other ninety-percent of you jagovs, I'm sure you never even ATTENDED college- much less Alabama. Keep your "we" posts to yourself and stick to NASCAR.

Was a fan when Bear was around to the present. And I don't like NASCAR.

Glory days. Some time you just have to break it to fix it. There's advice in there if you are listening.

Absolutely we remember it, the difference is that we also have three different times to remember that we were the kings of college football for over a decade each. 20 years under the Bear. Alabama is the standard when it comes to college football and always will be.

Alabama settled and hired unproven mediocre coaches before Saban and they got mediocre teams. Much like Auburn has been doing the last 8 years and like LSU is now doing.

The fence was knocked down.

It'll be back up when saban retires and all will be back to normal.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

You can almost forgive the Shula hire since it was an emergency one.

The Mike Dubose hire is one of the absolute worst in the history of college football and was the last dying gasp of the "we gotta hire a Bryant boy!" mentality that was a cancer on the football program.
