One of the first attempts to shoo the bats out of the stadium resulted in about 1,000 showing up in Cain Hall, across the street, according to the university.

Last month, a swarm at the campus recreation center caused a temporary shutdown of the swimming pool, according to the Bryan-College Station Eagle.

Please, think of the bats

They have "Don't touch the bats" signs all over the Rec Center. I think one of them got into the water because shortly after they showed up the pool was closed for a while and drained. Pool reopened, haven't seen them in the Rec for a couple of weeks.

eta: I just actually read your post, I apparently just repeated it.

We should have gotten some state funding to build a shite ton of bat houses and done a study to find out which kinds of bat houses were the most popular.

Everyone knew this was going to happen. Stupid on the Administration's part.

This sounds ridiculous, but you are absolutely right. A research institution like Texas A&M could have easily made this happen.

there was a crude, old gif of Kyle with bats flying around it. I think it was when we first came into the SEC and it was pretty funny.

wish I could find it.

American bats are too lazy to do it. Why don't we get the Mexican Free Tail bats to build their own home for half the price and twice the speed? West Bryan ought to feel like home to them fo sho'

Giant orb spiders from tropical Asia are REALLY good at catching and killing bats. Just import about two or three thousand and let them lose on A&M's campus. They are only about 20 inches long with a 5 foot web-span so you would hardly notice one even if you were trying to. Just listen for the bat shreiks all around campus in the middle of the night, and you know then that you have invested wisely. With Best Regards!

Probably would've discovered the first gay bat. It would've decorated the frick out of the new houses though.
