Early thoughts.given this season is now behind us for most teams.

Georgia firmly supplants Florida as best team in the East in 1 to 2 seasons. UF MAY still compete for Atlanta next season. McElwain recruiting will not sustain in longer term.

Ole Miss, MSU, & Arkansas are essential non-factors in the West for at least the next 3 seasons.

UF and UT fight over the privilege of getting destroyed by Alabama.

That's about it.

A&M will be lucky to win 6 games next year. Could be comparable to 2003 and 2008.

Miss State will win games they "shouldn't" with their QB, imo

Bama will still be the top team in the conference, but as a whole, I think the east will be even with or better than the west.

UGA, UF, and (hot take incoming) USC will battle for the east

Auburn and Bama for the west

Georgia's going to need at least 2 of the incoming freshman OL to be big time contributors right away, and Eason needs to improve his deep ball accuracy in a big way. If those things happen, this should be a pretty good team in 2017. The Notre Dame game will tell us where this team stands early in the season.

Arkansas is a non factor yet they beat the ever living shite out of the East champion.

Makes sense in a thread about direction of West and East.

How did the East champs do against Arkansas this season? It would be better stated to say all east teams are non-factors.

Think Georgia can handle Vandy next year? Vandy and Kentucky will be a force next year.

MSU is going to be a tough outing if they can improve their defense. LSU looked great in their bowl game.

I fully expect the west to dominate again.

Yup UF will beat LSU, UGA will beat Auburn, UT vs LSU will be a toss up with an edge to UT since it'll be in Neyland

16-10
13-7

We will be a dark horse for sure, but I'm not sure the talent is there next year. Feels good having a good QB though.

2018 could be a damn good year for us though
