I was out of town and didn't get to watch a single play. Seemed like the UT offense came alive in the 2nd half. Did their o line give Dobb's time to throw? Did Chance Hall come in and clean up the problems they were having?

Nah, UF was getting penetration almost every play. Dobbs is just a slippery dude and made some good throws on the move.

They looked better than they have the last 3 games. Only allowed 1 sack to UF, who was the NCAA sack leader before the game.

There was pressure all game tho, on every TD pass, he got hit.

No Dobbs got hit hard on 3 of his TD passes, our WRs just beat their secondary so Dobbs was able to get the ball out early.

They played much better with the addition of Hall at RT and moving Kendrick to LT imo. Especially when you consider it was against the GOAT college football defense

Honest answer - they looked better than they have recently. They were picking up Geoff Collin's predictable blitzes and had the right play calls to get the ball out quick.

Chance Hall helped quite a bit. Right side of our line is fine with him and Jack Jones.

They are still bad. Dobbs, Hurd, and our scheme compensate for it a bit.

I did not think Jones had a very good day watching it back.

UT's o-line was horrible in their first game. They seem to be getting better. I give Dobbs the most credit for UT's win. He came out in the second half and ran at the right times and he threw at the right times. To me his most impressive play was when he forced his way into the end zone. UF's d-line actually whipped UT's o-line on that play, but Dobbs was bound and determined to get that td. Dobbs is finally playing like an upperclassman. He might be hard to deal with the rest of the season.

Dobbs had more total yards by himself than Florida's first three opponents combined.

I thought we looked better at handling their front 4 once we got in a groove. We had some issues with quarter back hurries when they blitzed us, but we look to be improving every week. Far from a great OL, but they are improving.

They had their best day by far against the best front they have faced, so that's clearly a good sign.
They are still weak on the left side and will likely struggle against Bama and AM.
That said, the return of Chance Hall at RT was a huge help. He's clearly our best OL.

Didn't pay great, but gave Dobbs enough time and room to run when needed. Dobbs was hit as he threw several of his big play/TD passes but he still had barely enough time to get them off.

It was a lot better with Hall in but it's still got a long way to go. UF was getting through but UF is a good pass rushing team so it's hard to judge things just yet. I think we'll know a lot more when we play UGA but just off the eye test I was very pleased with the progress.

Bouncing guys around from position to position has been hard on the line's chemistry so even with Hall back I expect it will take at least another game and full week of practices for them to get used to one another.
