Not really. It's just funny how it's played after close game even though it uses that phrase.

Yeah, but closeness of score doesn't matter in chanting of good natured song.

It doesn't really bother me, and I, too, get a kick out of how much it bothers other fans. But I don't really participate - for me personally, it shows a lack of class. But to each his own, and I don't discourage anyone else from enjoying it.

Coach Bryant thought it was fine but, he was from a diff. era and was a different type of man than modern man.

Today, your type would likely view him as a poor farm tramp from Arkie and avoid him like sidewalk trash.

I'm sure y'all sang your bastardized version of it after you beat the hell out of Bama in the Kick 6 game.

Get off your high cow.

I respect the hell out of Coach Bryant, but I'm a very different man than he was and wouldn't change places. Just a different era, like you said. I bet the idea of gay marriage being the law of the land would have made his head explode.

It's actually the coolest cheer in college football.

I didn't but I'm sure it was. Like I said, I don't mind it. It's just funny in those scenarios. Isn't the only difference in yalls and "bastardized" version that they say go to hell Alabama instead of give 'em hell Alabama?

No, it's not. It's dumb, and we should've stopped years ago.

I'll make an exception for Auburn or Tennessee, maybe even LSU. But it should only be for hated teams.

Thanks for allowing it for those 3 games.

I've always thought it was tacky to sing it to Vandy or Kentucky. It's the same logic as "act like you've been there."
