Punched while he was the coach there? I find it interesting that what he said is being largely overlooked. If Butch punched several Cincy players while he was their coach, it's a safe assumption that he punched at least one at Tennessee.

Well nobody ever listens to punters... if he was a QB or RB this would get a lot more attention.

Dooley punched Butch and Cincy pretty good if I remember correctly.

I'm not saying that he made it up at all, I'm just saying that punters aren't notorious for having much influence. FWIW part of me hopes it's proven true.

I thought he said Butch "crossed the line" with lots of players. Who knows what that could mean to a punter that isn't allowed to be touched in a game

I thought the guy said something like that in reference to Butch pinching the pussy UT lineman though. So in that context it is a strong implication.

Plus there would be a shitload of current/former coaches and staff from Cincy that would want that hushed up since they would also be implicated for letting it go on.
If its true the only way to pop him is for several current/former players to speak out.

But if he had seen him punch players at Cincy wouldn't he have said that? Instead he said "cross the line" which is very vague and subjective. It's clear he wanted people to believe the punching story so if he had seen him do it before, why not say "yeah he punched multiple guys at Cincy"?
Most likely because Butch didn't punch anyone at Cincy but this guy still wanted to take shots at him.

that would require UT having an AD that doesn't also need to be fired. If Butch did indeed punch a player, chances are Mike Hart knew about it and covered it up. Hiring a PI to investigate what Butch did at Cincinnati is only going to make him look worse if it turns out to be true.
