Report says victim told police she did not want to press charges because "she was afraid of the media and community backlash."

there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for all of this that includes DGB being innocent.

The last text reads as though the coaches talked to her and wanted her to take action as soon as possible.
Not that they were trying to steer her away from reporting it.
I don't see any conspiracy/obstruction of justice here.

Report says girlfriend's mother called officer after initial follow-up interview and asked that her daughter not be contacted further.

Coaches didn't talk to her. DGB talked to the coaches about the consequences of what he's done and he talked to his girlfriend.

DGB is a scumbag and should be kicked off the team if this is true.

Also, you have to wonder how many times he's beat the girlfriend but because she's so focused on him getting an NFL payday she's turned the other cheek? The fact that her mother also contacted the victim let's me know there's not much parental support for her to lean on

Well, obviously he must be beating on her daily, and her mom is in on it.
