Or does Aubbie still want him gone? Not trying to troll just wandering if the general sentiment toward him has changed after the win.

He just postponed the inevitable.

I think Les saved Gus's job

He was 1/2 second from losing that game.

There is a lot of season left. His guys aren't quitting on him. He has a large buyout. I think if the team doesn't quit, he is back next year.
He didn't just forget how to coach O. He just needs to learn how to coach O with this QB.

Do not kid yourselves, we still want him gone if he doesn't produce 8-9 wins

I think so. Now, they have very good odds to finish the regular season anywhere from 8-4 to 10-2.

not really, but a loss would have expedited the process. he is still "alive" for the time being.
we won a game with 6 fgs. red zone offense is still terrible. auburn winning had more to do with lsu's offense somehow being worse

If he doesn't beat Alabama this year, all the good will he garnered for defeating LSU will go by the wayside.
If you are the head coach of Auburn or Alabama, you *have* to beat your in-state rival to survive.

Nah, he was coming back next year unless he finished under .500 which I didn't see with an LSU loss. We'll bring at the very least Kendal Briles, the OC of Baylor and Art's son (if not Art himself in some capacity) who will bring with him transfer QB Jarrett Stidham and we'll be playoff contenders next year and they'll collectively save Gus's job for another couple of seasons

A loss to Miss St in two weeks will get him fired.

It is likely AU will only have L's to top 10 teams. He won't be fired.

Losing to top 10 teams is totally acceptable and expected at Auburn. They get to bitch about the schedule. Oh and Auburn expects to beat a non top 10 team in Ole Miss?

In general most don't want Gus gone. Most aren't happy with him, but I believe the PTB and average fans want to see how he does if he has a DT QB. For all the Cam talk, NM talk, etc...Gus has been a part of a very successful run in Auburn's history. He may be in over his head, but it would be nice to see if he just screwed up on QB recruiting before we pull the plug. It will also save a boat load of cash.
You could argue that with a terrible O we have had a chance against all three ranked teams in the 4th this year. We could also struggle to get to six wins. The next few weeks will tell the tale.
