Remember maybe a 3 million dollar offer back then maybe. Possibly during the Dana Altman/Pelphrey fiasco.

Oh wow I can't even imagine this place if Arky fans had Calipari.

Who didn't? Every decent P5 school thought they could steal him from Memphis.

Was it pre Heath Bar or Pre Pelphrey?

I think they decided in the end that it wasn't worth having to give everything back years later, even though there wouldn't be actual trophies to have to give back, It would still suck to give the elite 8 and final 4 trips back

Not being mean-spirited or anything but it's very debatable if Arkansas is even a better job than Memphis. Kentucky clearly is.

No offer was made.

Dana Altman would have been a solid hire, but Frank botched the final details just like the botched that entire firing then coaching search.

He agreed verbally to take the job.

Stan Heath was fired.

Kentucky "stole" him from us.

Basically, he was offered, thought about the job and used you for a pay raise from Memphis.

I can find "reports" that the football job has been offered to Tubbs 3 times (once in 98), Gundy (never), Bowden (the less successful one at clemson, didn't happen), Grobe (no offer), etc.

Out instate media is so incompetent, it could be mistaken as trolling.

Calipari was never offered the job, discussions took place before Arkansas decided to move on, Memphis found themselves in trouble with the NCAA not long after.

Oh and the best "has been offered the job" was Pelini when the rumors were spread that our next coach was coaching in the b1g champion game, 50% chance and they all jumped on Pelini when it was in fact bert.

In 2007 the local media reported that Tubberville had accepted the job and would be officially announced the next day, he was never talk to about the job, but was talked too as a reference for the man we were looking at and hired.

Our media has a huge jump to conclusions mat they throw out during every coaching search.
