NYT Analysis
You would think that with all the money flowing the corn doggers would pay their old debts.

Sec network crapped out on me on our last at bat yesterday. Seems like we got a half arse Texas school to create a half arse network. Sounds familiar.

So you are saying you got used? And you are attempting to brag about it?
Alright then.
Alright then.

Sweet article. It's a year older than my niece and two years old than my dog.
Seriously, why post a five year old article. And does anyone really believe Auburn has the most fans out of all big 6 teams?

Texas A&M was also at the heart of the LHN, but they couldn't come to an agreement on how to split the revenue.
Texas promised ESPN that they could still deliver Texas Highschool sports with the help of A&M, because these were the two Flagship programs in the state and would get very little opposition (Texas also governs the University Interscholastic League). This is why they received the HUGE contract. It wasn't because of Texas, but because of Texas Highschool football.
ESPN wanted to air live TX Highschool games on a network that also showcased both Texas and Texas A&M. The goal was to ultimately "monetize" HS athletics starting in TX.
They wanted to start with TX HS athletics and then ultimatley branch off with an ESPN HS channel. ESPN gambled on the LHN and lost, because they got stuck with a large contract with Texas without content (A&M and TX Highschool athletics).

Extraordinarily ironic given that your sole purpose in frequenting this board is to hurl stale insults at a program that neither considered you a rival nor gave you a second thought after leaving you behind more than four years ago.
