I am disappointed Coach Davis was termed, he is a former LSU player. Hate to see this happen to him.
I agree 100%. I think Bo is a good man and great recruiter. He has to push the envelope in the world of recruiting. Once the head coach finds out you pushed it too far his hands are tied.
Tell on yourself and you've removed the Head coaches deniability, but the NCAA may work with you if your honest. Tell a lie and it's uncovered you pay the price.
I hate it for Bo. The players seem to really like him. I hope he lands a great job, and Alabama helps all they can. After all he stuck his neck out for the program, and he's not the 1st or last that's gonna do the same thing.

If Davis was an ex-Bama player like Luther Davis, this would be a non-issue.

Lol. Lots of disappointment in here.
It's entertaining to watch people twist themselves into pretzels trying to make this more than what it was.

Exactly... Saban's scapegoat.
The guy had been with Saban on and off for a decade, you don't think he knows how Saban operates?

Admit that Nick Saban has been cheating since he arrived at Alabama and is immune to any punishment because the University and boosters have paid off NCAA officials and the NCAA president himself.

LSU currently being punished for cheating at recruiting
quote:
BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU football program will have recruiting privileges taken away for the second time in four years. Because LSU apparently continued to engage in unlimited contact with offensive tackle Matt Womack, a prospective early enrollee from Senatobia, Miss., after he changed his mind about signing with LSU last fall and signed with Alabama, the Southeastern Conference has punished LSU. The league ruled that LSU can no longer sign early enrollees to financial aid agreements for the next two years, and the SEC is cutting 21 of the program's 210 evaluation days of high school and junior college prospects in the current year, according to public records obtained by the Baton Rouge Advocate

Agreed, that's why he got canned. Saban demands his guys follow the letter of the law, he failed to do so.
He could kill a puppy on World Star and you bitches would blame the puppy.

Just how hard do you think you trips are?

You really think that is what I said?
Well then what was your point?

Most of these guys just have a credit card. It was noticed when the statement came in and brought to compliance.

You realize this is that stupid rule the NCAA allows where if a recruit signs a FAA you can increase contact - but if the recruit signs elsewhere they penalize you.
It's completely stupid, UGA I think is about to get burned by this with Robertson.
So a recruit can sign an FAA with you, you continue to recruit them, but if they sign elsewhere, you get penalized. Just asinine. Certainly LSU has done stupid shite in past with coaches much similar to what Bo Davis did, but this isn't one of them.

He should not have used the CCard. He should have used the special fund that the REC makes available to all coaches on the recruiting trail.
He knew the rules.
He knew the rules.

Sounds like you are rationalizing and justifying more LSU cheatin to me.

Well, his coaches work for him so you would think he would know when his coaches leave town.

You are correct, the rule is a stupid idea. If you are following a rule and then you are charged with breaking another rule because of the first rule, that ain't right.

I think what a lot of people are forgetting is that Saban has missed out on a lot of top players. Clowney, Nkemdiche just to name a couple.
Just something to think about.
Just something to think about.
