He's going to be special to watch. Is he a freshman?

Im watching the game now and I gotta say Bama looks pretty average.

Henry did look fast splitting that goal line defense in the first touchdown, but he's always been fast. He still runs upright and has chicken legs.

Derrick Henry was interested in Florida, Muschamp told him he'd be a good linebacker.

Are you watching his film from last year? He ran with a much lower pad level, until he took off in full sprint, out running the Wisconsin secondary.

I've been very skeptical about Henry all offseason. But he's definitely gained lower body strength and improved his balance. Last year, he'd get knocked down by a DT's fart. Last week, he was breaking tackles, and gained a lot of YAC.

Vol fans kept saying that Saban planned to turn him into a LB at Bama when the recruiting was going on.

Yes, it was those dumbasses on Volnation.

Im sure the Aggys will shut him down. As the Aggy said in the other thread, likely best front 4 in NCAA.

Against Spread or Pass Heavy teams they might be right.

Henry has been held back by the play calls in years past. I brought it up a few times last season. Kiffen almost always ran Henry to the edge last season, as if he was a scat back. He's a pounder, seems obvious.

Henry is damn good. There are a lot of very good RB's in the SEC. Really a lot of talent at a lot positions in the SEC. It's an amazing thing to be able to watch so many games with top players.

He's a rare combination of Mark Ingram's speed and Trent Richardson's vision.
