Your thoughts on Del Rio being named the starter? Do you believe he has the ability to be as good or better than Grier?

It should be titled
"Former Alabama walk on named starter at Florida"

That sounds a little better.

Honestly, there is no way in hell he is any worse than Treon Harris.

So UF has that going for them.

I still think his ceiling is way lower than Grier's from a talent standpoint.

But if he has a good head on his shoulders his arm is good enough at the college level for Florida to be dangerous. No question.

UF also has a decent team around him, something Grier didn't really have last year and certainly not Harris.

Uf actually has a serviceable back up for the first time in years. Appleby will be serviceable. If you can be serviceable at Purdue you can be serviceable at Florida.

I mean, there are some people with HUGE optimism. I tend to be much more wait and see on inexperienced QBs.

Yeah he's been in the system for 2 years now, and the team respects him, but how will he hold up under the lights?

That's the big question.

Serious question, why has this guy bounced around so much?

I understand transferring from Alabama but what happened at Oregon State?

I think he could be as good as Grier. He also has a year in the system.
