Missouri is a surprise. Looks like Bama and LSU are still among the best in the conference. Auburn is shockingly bad.

Total defense rankings are crap.
Scoring Defense and points per drive are much better barometers to how good a defense is.

No they aren't, but yards per play is a better indicator.

Wouldn't total defense reflect the time and number of possessions?
If so, I would expect teams who run the ball to always be at the tops of these lists.

Kentucky is having the most bi-polar season. Giving up 16 ppg in SEC games and 30 ppg in non-conference games (UL-L and EKU).
