Its what fans didn't want to hear, but Chavis has improved the aggie defense.

However, the more things change, the more they stay the same and the Aggies defense continued to rule over fall camp with another fine outing. Even with Matthews back as a steadying influence over the first team offensive line (which was intact), the first group really didn’t move the ball against a defensive unit that included several new faces in comparison to those fielded in past practices.

Defense has gotten so much better, fans and analysts are now wondering if the offense is taking a step back as much as the defense is stepping up. I hope its a case of the defense just flat out dominating.

The secondary remained unchanged with seniors Brandon Williams and De’Vante Harris at corner, Donovan Wilson at nickel, and Justin Evans and Armani Watts at safety

Great times ahead

Their DL is beating their OL. It remains to be seen if the DL is that good or the OL has taken a huge step back with lost experience.

Just wait until it's time to practice the 2 minute drill.

Chavis walked into a situation where a lot of young talent is reaching a maturation point at all position groups. Sumlin has recruited well on defense despite what people think of our talent.

Chavis is putting them in positions to succeed.

Do you have any videos of drills? I have found the gauntlet drill to be a good barometer for a defense's toughness.
