However, it is interesting that LSU fans deflect to pro careers on a college football message board.

Only because LSU fans follow the NFL. It has been stated by numerous Bama fans that they do not care about the NFL.

This is a college football message board. Thus, SEC Rant. This is where we discuss players who are currently in tSEC. If you want to discuss pro careers, there is a board to the left called the More Sports Board.

Hope this helps.

There is a reason we have more so called "busts"....

1st round draft picks since 2010....

Bama- 15
LSU- 6
Auburn- 4

Acknowledging they were drafted too high/busts is the first step.

Maybe we should start calling bammer underachiever u instead of Georgia. Almost 4 times as many first round picks as Auburn since 2010, yet not a lot of difference between team records if you take away 2012

and funny you mentioned "deflecting" when your post has nothing to do with the OP, and mine does. hmm..

I'm talking about college football on tSEC rant. If you want to discuss Milliner's career as a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide, you are in the right place. If you want to discuss Milliner's career as a New York Jet you should go to the More Sports Board.

This isn't that hard.

Try me. Why do we have a More Sports Board if we are going to discuss a New York Jet on the SEC Rant?

Let's talk about his career with Alabama. I enjoy talking about players who were a part of two national championship teams.

This guy...

Alabama has as many National Championships since 2010 as Auburn has in their entire history as a program.

Cool, huh?

The great thing about sports and stats and stuff is that you can't just "take away" a random year. 2012 happened. We'd have a shite ton more wins than Auburn if you take away 2010... but we can't - because it actually happened. See how that works?

2010-2014

Overall Record
Alabama: 58-9 (0.866)
Auburn: 45-21 (0.682)

SEC Record
Alabama: 36-7
Auburn: 25-17

Bowl Record
Alabama: 3-2 (4 BCS Bowls)
Auburn: 2-2 (2 BCS Bowls)

Top 10 Finishes
Alabama: 5
Auburn: 2

Record vs Teams that finished the season ranked
Alabama: 14-9
Auburn: 13-17

the SECr does not have a MSB. That is on tigerdroppings.

Also, Dee played for Alabama, therefore his NFL career is relevant. Which is why it's still on the SECr. If it weren't relevant, wouldn't this thread have been moved to another board?

I've already said as much. That doesn't change the fact he wasn't top 5 last year. Hopefully he can get his condition under control and get back to the form everyone knows he's capable of.

Go for it

But FYI you've completely and utterly missed my point. I wasn't discussing Dee's career in the first place. I simply made an observation about predictions on this board.

I didn't mean to sound disgruntled towards you. I was just throwing that out there considering it's extremely relevant.

Yeah it's not like Alabama has two more national championships in that time period or anything.

There is a link to the left. Are you saying that if I started a thread about Eddie Lacy that it would stay on this board? I'd be willing to bet you the thread would be moved either to the Alabama board or the MSB.

How is that relevant to Alabama? If Eddie Lacy rushes for 2000 yards next season, do we get to claim another championship? If Trent busts out of the league, do we take away his final touchdown in 21-0? Does the fact that Peyton Manning attended UT make it any less of a dumpster fire now?

If we had at least one mod who wasn't an LSU homer, this thread would have been moved by now.

I can't control what the mods do, but I personally think discussing former players is perfectly fine. Herschel Walker, Bo, Tebow, Cam, etc are discussed on this board ad nauseam.

As I stated above, I believe discussion on former SEC players is perfectly fine. And it's something that already occurs all the time.

This is just incessant rambling that has absolutely nothing to do with what we're talking about. But all of these players once played in the SEC, so by all means, discussions on their past and present careers should be, and currently is, fair game.

I don't know what to tell you. Sorry, bud. Maybe the mods agree with me that this discussion is relevant.
