Dear SEC schools who used to be good

You're currently in this situation because you got greedy. You thought that you should win 10-12 games a year and always be in the National Championship game. Well college football has changed and it's now about developing talent, not simply recruiting it.
The first of you to become overly ambitious was Tennessee. You fired Fulmer because he had a couple down years and the results have been epicly disastrous. Now you are worse than Missouri with better recruits. You haven't been relevant in almost 20 years, oh how the tides have turned for the Volunteers, they even took your battle flag, now all you have is a red faced coach and trash cans on the sideline.
But could it be worse? It is for Florida. Back to back SEC East Titles after losing to an FCS school and you are calling for your coaches head. They didn't even lose and you want him fired. He could win the East and lose to Alabama and you would want him fired anyways. It's truly embarrassing times in Florida. But go ahead and fire Mac, end up with your Lane Kiffin and continue to be mediocre for another 5 years, no one really notices anyways.
LSU fired Miles because he couldn't beat Alabama and now you have Coach O who truly only has one skill, being able to talk with rocks in his mouth. I'd say I felt sorry for you, but you did this to yourselves, now you will become, as Marcus Spears accurately described you, an average and mediocre school.
Georgia fired Richt because he let Mizzou win the East twice. Kirby is doing better than his peers though.
Sumlin is gone, probably to be replaced by a guy who can't recruit or win. With Tom Herman at Texas, does it really matter? Second class citizens in your own state.
Gus might get fired too because he couldn't win the big game against big brother.
None of you will ever be happy, not even if you win, because at the end of the day, you still can't beat Alabama. It's kind of sad that so many of you are imploding your programs because of the Elephant in the room.

Did Pinkel really have cancer or did he just see the writing on the wall and walked away on top?
No shame in that by the way... exactly what I would have done... much respect for Pinkel.

Why focus on the failures? BAMA had to fire someone to hire saben. Clemson and fsu had to fire the bowdens to get to where they are, etc etc.

You're right. No one should have high expectations.
We should all be like Georgia. Win ten a lot of years, maybe sneak into a BCS level bowl occasionally, and not see a title game in 40 years.
Really. What is the point of winning to win major games, titles, etc? So selfish.
I know you'd know what it was like. But Missouri has no titles. So you don't know how winning should feel.

That was a lot to type for me not to read.

That's a lot of talk from someone whose entire athletic program is a steaming pile of dog shite.

If Les had gone 11-1 every year and NEVER beaten Bama, he'd not only still be coaching LSU, but he'd be seen as a hero.
It was the games he wasn't supposed to lose that got him fired, and the most inept AD in the country that hired his successor.

LSU fired Miles because he was losing to Ole Miss, Arky, more and more often without adapting to current offensive schemes. So they have a good DC hired, they hire would they think is a good OC, the Cookie Monster was hired to gel all together . So far not so good but too early to say its for the good or bad.

Dear Mizzou, you are currently in your shittier situation because you didn't think you should always win 10-12 games a year and be in the championship hunt.
Stay there as long as you want.
We'll be pissed at our 8-4s, you can be pissed at your 4-8s

They will not see an SEC championship in the lifetime of any poster on this board. They will comfortably take their place in the basement of this conference and remain forgettable and irrelevant.
