Deadspin attacks McShay over Tunsil Analysis

Deadspin criticized Todd McShay for questioning the maturity of Laremy Tunsil for selling out Ole Miss. Deadspin believes that him telling the truth is a direct sign of maturity, but I'm sure Ole Miss fans disagree. Who is right here?

Did Tunsil utilize a public platform to expose the nefarious workings of the Ole Miss program in hopes of making the world a better place for college student athletes?
Or did Tunsil get caught in a difficult situation and had no idea how to respond and instead ended up implicating Ole Miss in what could be one of the SEC's biggest scandals since the conference formed?

...Alabama got caught doing the same thing by Yahoo Sports and the NCAA looked the other way.

Can't believe we live in a world where telling the truth is considered a bad thing, and a young man will now be slandered because some slick talking men at Mississippi took advantage of him

I loved every second of that McShay exchange. What a gangster thing to say and true.

It's not a bad thing, but the question is focused on the maturity of Tunsil. Did Tunsil really do something right here besides not calculating his response to protect Ole Miss?
And I'm a little tired of the "Tunsil is a victim" arguments. The guy was sending text messages to coaches asking for money. Anyone believe he didn't know the NCAA rules?

I mean what options did he really have? So he admitted to something after he was caught. That doesn't make him honest or mature.

Deadspin has been all over the place but they're right about this. Tunsil shouldn't be blamed or attacked for telling the truth. If OM folks want to be mad they need to be mad at the fact it was going on in such a blatant and recordable way.

I don't think there's anything mature about dragging an institution through the mud over violations you helped instigate and demanded. At least not in public.
Talking to NFL scouts about it in private, fine. But the press conference would indicate a lack of maturity.
