I personally think Hart did a great job at TN. United the AD's, made them fiscally sound again, helped get TN football healthy and headed in the right direction, improved facilities, ect.
He had his blunders for sure (title 9, Donnie Tyndall) but overall I give him a B grade for his tenure. Following a solid F by Hamilton he did well to me.
I want one of these 4 as a replacement and I won't accept anyone else!

It's almost hard to see us hiring someone that hasn't already failed somewhere.

Charles Davis was assistant AD at Stanford, director of the US Olympic training center, and director of a PGA Tour event for 3 years before he got into broadcasting. The guy is extremely qualified.

It's strange, but I could actually see Manning being competent. However, there's no evidence for that, and it can't happen. No real reason to be confident about Charles Davis, either.

I could see him moving his retirement date up to Nov 26 2016, so he doesn't have to deal with firing Butch or finding his replacement.
