Says that in the SEC, the team with the higher talent ranking wins 78% of the time over the past 10 seasons. Higher than any other conference.

Says that LSU's combined coordinator ranking is the best in history. Thinks LSU will win the national title in next three seasons if they keep both coordinators.

Because of this, he thinks LSU has the edge against State, even though he ranks Mullen higher. Says that on the 22-deep, LSU has an advantage of 12 stars. Upsets happen when that number is less than 10. More than 10, its extremely rare for an upset.

Points to Ohio State - says that Oklahoma game is what happens when you downgrade both coordinators. Thinks Ohio State is looking at a 7-5, 8-4 type season.

Says the SEC East is terrible because of the coordinators. Not one solid coordinator in the entire division. Says that on talent alone, Tennessee should be building a dynasty in a weakened East.

Says that Vanderbilt will beat Kansas State this weekend and move into the top 25. And says to keep an eye on Texas-USC. Texas is not as bad as you think. He thinks Maryland is really good.

Derek Mason is the best coordinator in the division.

I enjoy Bartoo geeking out on his algorithms, but he confidently picked ND to outclass UGA because his formulas showed NDs coordinators to be far superior

I think his index is the best in football. I'm not going to fault him for picking the wrong team in a one point game. Although his numbers do not like Georgia.

Hot take city.

I will never understand the "East is terrible" mantra. Valid some years, but why is the east weak this year?

Georgia and South Carolina look good. Tennessee looks good. Florida has played one game. Vanderbilt is better than expected.

Sure it's not as strong as the West, but why is it "terrible"

These aren't the same thing, really.

Mel Tucker shat on whoever ND's OC is.

Nah, I wouldn't ignore his analysis just because of that. But it was funny to see ND, the staff that Bartoo is so enamored with, is something like 1 and 8 in one possession games. I would think a superior staff would win most of those contests

I like Bartoo because his main source of income is not CFB matrix but a weed farm in Oregon.

They aren't going to beat Penn State or Michigan. That's three losses. Not inconceivable they drop one more of Maryland, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State.

They could very well beat both Penn State and Michigan. They are more talented than both.

Why? For six of eight quarters of football, Ohio State has looked like shite. Greg Schiano is a good recruiter, but he's never been a defensive coordinator. Kevin Wilson was awful at Indiana.

Both tOSU and Michigan will have 2 losses by the time they play. tOSU could absolutely win.

He led one of the best CFB offenses of all time at Oklahoma.

No one has ever been successful at Indiana.
