In the West, most are picking Arkansas, so they won't be.
I'm going with TAMU. 16 returning starters. Did well with a Freshman QB after the Bama blowout. Went 3-2. Won at AU, beat WVU. Lost by 7 to Mizzou and 6 to LSU. Have MSU, Bama, AU & SC at Home, with a week off before Bama. Defense will be better just because of experience, throw in Chavis who will have an Offense to bail him out if needed, and TAMU could have a big year.
In the East, most are picking UT, so they won't be.
Defense being solid should carry over. The difference will be on Offense. Colorado St. was 102nd in the nation the year before McElwain took over. They were 24th his 1st year and 19th his second. Motivational, Offensive minded coaches taking over talented teams that had disappointing seasons the year before seem to do well their 1st season. See Sumlin and Malzahn recently. 4 of their first 5 games at home, including UT, before heading to Mizzou, a team they held to 119 yards last year and lost to 42-13. They were snake bit last year. With McElwain's attitude change, UF could also have a big year.

Vols aren't a darkhorse candidate. They are the lead horse in the East.

You somehow managed to get two of the worst posters on tRant on the first page of your thread. Well done.

They didn't make the Sports Illustrated Top 25.
They should have. Not Miss. St.

It actually really pisses me off. That kind of talk should not be allowed here imo.
