Looked pretty damn bad. The Jags are absolutely snake bitten. They've had just a terrible run of top 10 picks.

@DrewBoylhart: #Jaguars G.M. says Dante Fowler injury appears “brutal” #NFL

@AdamSchefter: Here's video of Dante Fowler's injury. Judge for yourself... LINK

Question? Has he even signed a contract and if not what effect does this have?

Not only that, but his agent shouldn't ever have another client. I hope for his sake he's signed.

He was going against ex- UGA player Watts Dantzler(UDFA trying out for the Jags) during an 11 on 11 drill... Wow.. Tough luck for Fowler.

Found this....

quote:

Under the rookie wage scale, Fowler is due to sign a contract that is worth $20,737,302. Before mini-camp, players sign a protection form that holds the team to their slotted contract in case of injury.

He was rushing the passer against tackle Watts Dantzler, a tryout player.

“I don’t know what happened,” Dantzler told the Times-Union’s Hays Carlyon. “I just was kicking back and punched him and then he just fell down. I feel terrible. He’s a good player. I feel like [expletive]. I’m getting killed on Twitter.”

Did you even see the video posted above... Dantzler was in pass pro backing up as he blocked. Are you trying to insinuate anything or just being a dick?

Fowler is both lucky and unlucky right now. Yes, he tore his ACL, but it was such a fluke injury that it could have just as easily happened at his pro day or during training.

Don't understand running 11 on 11 less than an hour into rookie mini camp.

Fowler is a hometown boy where I live and he is one of the genuine nice guys and really humble....he loves UF and the college experience. Third overall pick is high cotton. Im mhoping he completely recovers for next year.

Lets not blame anyone or any coaches or management members...theres too much of that on this board. It was a freak injury and it happens. The Jags suffered a huge loss and while Im no real fan, the bad luck they have encountered is amazing.

Hope he heals fully and can continue his career. Im glad to hear he had contract protection.

ACL injuries suck, but its something that can be fully recovered from it just takes time and effort.

Tough break.

So is "blame Muschamp" on the same level as "blame Obama"? It seems so at this point.
