In honor of Dan Mullen's homecoming game at Gillette Stadium this weekend, which will surely be attended by all the Mullens of New Hampshire, its time for Dan Mullen Trivia Time! No cheating.

Mullen is 4-29 against Top 25 teams, with three of the 4 wins coming in a three week period in 2014 when State was on fire. Who was the other win against?

We currently have an eight game losing streak to teams ranked in the top 25. Who was the last Top 25 team that MSU defeated.

In his tenure at MSU, dating back to 2009, Mullen has ONE win over an SEC team that finished above .500 in conference. What team was it?

Mullen lost to South Alabama this season, but has had several close calls, including an overtime win over Louisiana Tech, a 6 point win over Troy, and a one point win over which MAC team?

Since 2009, in the regular season, Mullen has defeated two non-conference FBS teams that have finished with a winning record. What regional Sun Belt and C-USA powers are they?

He'd be my favorite coach of all time if he'd start off a post-game press conference with this line:

You scored 70% in Dan Mullen Trivia Time. Hint: The other two correct answers share a state.

I still don't get your point though. there's no reason for any of us to believe State could rightfully fire Muffin and "upgrade"

That's horseshite. Every coach brings something different to the table. State could get a strong recruiter and upgrade there, or get a coach that runs a superior spread scheme and upgrade there.

There's a number of things to consider. Mullen is difficult to work with under pressure. He's pissed off more hc coaches than any coach I know of. I could go on..

His strong suits are player development and QB development. His success, anywhere he'll ever go hinges on the QB. If he doesn't have one that fits his scheme, he will struggle.
