You had top 5 SOS because you play in the SEC. You're OOCS was still weak. Congrats on playing one P5 OOC in the Dan Mullen era and lucking into a decent Southern Miss team before they collapsed. The fact that an SEC school not only played an away game at a CUSA or Sun Belt school is embarrassing enough but you do it multiple times.
The only reason your future OOC scheduling has picked up is because it's now mandated by the NCAA that you schedule at least one P5 OOC team a year. And it's not like you're even scheduling premier programs now. BYU, Arizona, NC State, and Kansas State by the time Synder will be dead and gone. Real tough stuff

We've played Oregon, West Virginia (during their Pat White, Steve Slayton years) OK State, Ga Tech. I think we hold our own as far as schedules goes, over the years.

You played Oregon in 02 and 03 and West Virginia in 06 and 07. You didn't win a single one of those games against the teams you mentioned and only two were in the Dan Mullen era. That's fricking sad

Shunned? come'on now. I have plenty of friends at #HailState, I just don't like the town because its boring and the people for the most part suck
