LINK
Highlights:
- cut the number of days in a year from 30 to 10 in which coaches were allowed to conduct camps
- no more satellite camps
- early signing period: 72-hour signing windows that would open on the last Wednesday in June and the third Wednesday in December
- allow prospects to take official visits during the summer before their senior years

This is what teams that can't recruit say

A June early signing period is idiotic and would open a can of worms.

Why? Basketball and Baseball both have them and them seem to be fine.

A December window is all that's needed. I'd leave summer camps alone.

No one cares what Dan Mullen has to say...move along.

Only schools that can't afford to recruit for a long period of time gripe about it

Well....he is the chair the Recruiting Ad Hoc group

That's just a fancy name for a complaint hotline.

The more camps the more exposure for recruits. No reason to change it.

I don't think they should be able to do it at high schools. Make them partner with another college in the area.

Let high school seniors sign when JUCO players are allowed to sign. I think that is early enough. HAving one in June seems a bit soon.

I doubt many kids are going to waste an official to go visit a school with nobody on campus and nothing going on but if that's what they want to do i dont see how it could harm anything.

Considering he is the only active coach on the NCAA committee I imagine what he says carries weight

WOW.
A coach of a mediocre dumpster fire program in the SEC WEST has an opinion. Listen up folks.

So you are saying that a committee made up of exactly one active coach has weight to change the way players get recruited to all P5 universities?

For someone that can't recruit, he sure did taking that team of 2 and 3 stats to the #1 ranking and 19 wins in 2 seasons.

You do realize that having a team of 2 and 3 stars pretty much means you can't recruit.

A June signing period would be a mess. How long would it be before kids would start getting pressured not to play their senior year of high school.
It's already silly enough that as soon as a player has a good sophomore year, assholes start speculating on whether they should play their junior year.

The same number 1 ranking that was killed at the end of the season with multiple losses
