Five straight bowl games and five weeks at No. 1 in the nation simply doesn't happen at Mississippi State. Laugh all you want at the "one above average season," but the fact is that we are a long ways from the days of 0-8/1-7 SEC records - he deserves the raise.

It's just amazing that 8 years after Nick Saban's 8 year 32 million, that the "average" going rate is beyond his "earth shattering" contract of 2007.

I may be in the minority on this but I'm glad Mississippi does this. It has helped us not get burned a few times.
