Magic Johnson probably did at sometime in his career.

Nobody is arguing that, idiot. Compared to how Barbee left it though, it was. Barbee left is enough talent that without Pearl's quick recruiting, I'm not sure if we could've beat Southern Union CC.

First two years don't mean shite. Look at Andy Enfields first two years at USC vs this year. They were in a similar situation to us.

ETA:

Barbee was also at no point playing with 7 walk-ons getting minutes like Auburn did tonight

What do you want us to say? The team is down 4 starters now. It's an easy W for anyone at the moment.

if I told you Pearl would have a worse record than Barbee at this point when you guys hired him, not a single auburn fan would believe it.

Not a single auburn fan predicted a dumpster fire like we've seen this season, not a single one.

you can make excuses all you want, but if it were any other school you'd be patting yourself on the back for "rustling jimmies" as you pointed out on here. face it, things are not going as planned. he's objectively been a disappointment thus far.

And your team isn't even playing hard. they're quitting midseason, not even competitive.

No, we didn't predict a boat load of injuries and Purifoy not getting in. Should've borrowed your crystal ball.

Who predicts losing literally half their team and having to use 7 walk-ons?

There were points this season before we were completely decimated where this team looked decent and capable of making the NIT. All the way until a couple weeks into January this was a better team than the on in Tuscaloosa.

excuses. spin. the kind of consideration you only give your own team because you're a fan.

and your pre-conference play resume never held a candle to "that team in Tuscaloosa." you've been misinformed.

Injuries are excuses.

I guess walk-ons should be able to take over without any drop-off. You're just being dense at this point.

so you expected Bruce Pearl to be worse than Tony Barbee 2 years in? must have missed your posts saying as much.

you guys are right, he's doing great and definitely hasn't lost this team. they're playing hard!!!

No shite, sherlock. Bruce got nothing from Barbee. He started from scratch. That's why your argument is borderline retarded.
