Strong running game, arguably the best OL in the NFL, great WR, and solid TE.

Yep, great setup for him.

You're right, Mississippi State has an excellent history of whooping up on Conference USA and Sun Belt opponents.

Agree

He will have his bumps is the road. His defense will not help him any though.

Are we going to say the same thing about Chad Kelly next year? Dak will be fine. He has perhaps the best line in the NFL. Dez and Witten will get him out of a bind. Their running game is looks strong also. One thing that Dak has that Romo doesn't is wheels. He can buy him some time by using his legs or when pocket collapse he could tuck and run.

Just how bad State really was during his tenure. I mean, all he needed was a few decent players around him.

There are people on North Sentinel Island that have known Mississippi State has a history of bad OL play under Hevesy / Mullen.

Thread was created out of Dak jealousy.

Romo used to be one of the more mobile QBs in the pocket in the league

I think the main thing that seperates Dak from Romo is that Dak is built to withstand a beating with little to no serious injury. Panama City showed that us that he is near indestructible unlike Romo who is probably suffering from early osteoperosis.

Beats losing to them like Some other Mississippi schools have a tendency to do.

This is a flash in the pan once Romo comes back we forget about Dak in a year or two what we missed out on is a world class tightend that had an opportunity to get advance level study in blocking.

well, I think part of the problem is, and you'll see this with a lot of mobile quarterbacks, is that they end up being injury prone because they take so many hits that true pocket passers don't. Romo does seem to be more injury prone than most, but it also wouldn't shock me if Dak has issues down the road unless he adapts his game to becoming more of a true pocket passer

State was not a bad football team during his tenure. They were never a great football team (no a 10 win regular season does not make you a great team), but they definitely weren't bad.
