Putting all the joking and rivalry banter aside, I grew up in the Golden Triangle area and had the opportunity to talk with Dak during a 3 hour flight delay out of the GTR airport on my way back to Pennsylvania. I was really impressed with the young man. He is a great athlete with his head on straight. I hope he has another great season in Dallas again this year.

The flag. So sacred it gets tattoed on the arse cheek of hundreds of Americans every year.

Good for him. I'm much more proud of him than our former LSU players like Eric Reid and Terrance Magee.

Most of these guys that are protesting can probably barely read at an adult level, so I don't put much stock into their protests anyway.

What kind of pussy would downvote something like this?

All of these dumbass liberal protesters that have no explanation for their protests just look stupid. They get presented with facts that totally debunk their stance, then they get mad and want to fight. Bunch of punks is all they are. Screaming frick america and frick the police. I tell you what, you get a free flight to wherever you want to go live in the world and see how it is...and you can't fricking come back to this country. I'm tired ofn these fricks taking america and their freedon for granted . 8ts really sickening.

I try not to make assumptions , except for people who wear Che Guevera. They are auto-pegged and categorized without a second thought.

Dude it's a fact that these people are at the very least uninformed and ignorant. There are statistics that totally blow the police brutality against black people out of the water. Not to mention that damn near every officer shooting of a black man that theyre protesting has been justified in court. But it's all a huge conspiracy to get the black man, get the frick outta here with that nonsensical bullshite. They are ignorant people.

"it's just a piece of cloth" said the euphoric autismo that apparently doesn't understand symbolism. I suppose if we started burning pride flags, it would be a-ok because they're just pieces of cloth, right? Coming off as a robot is not something you should be proud of.

Also, having any regard for the US flag is "weird"? Omg guys, so unhip to be patriotic in 2017. I'll never understand people that cringe at the flag, the pledge, or the national anthem, but suddenly become very patriotic about our values over a poem on the Statue of Liberty. Same people who smugly declare "soldiers are not heros!" but change their tone when it is about transgender soldiers.

Capernick doesn't give one shite about anyone else but himself. He was raised by a middle class white family. He has no concept of what he is even protesting. His whole roll in this is a joke. Here's his real reasoning behind all this protest bullshite. He was yanked as a starter. The fact he was replaced by a white dude made it personal for Cap. As he whined about not being able to get back on the field he figured if he couldn't start then he was going to be the biggest cancer in the NFL until they put him back on the field. And the left wing nut jobs at ESPN has a field day with it. You see this piece of shite back tracking now that it is obvious to him he will never play in the NFL again.

This is a lesson to ESPN and the NFL. You exist for entertainment purposes only. I watch you to escape all the bullshite in the world. I don't want my social commentary coming from some dumb mother fricker who probably reads at a 6th grade level

I think this is kind of the point of the protests...

That doesn't really make sense- I mean he/she's saying folks think it's a conspiracy and you're asking if he/she is black? The amount of melanin in his skin won't actually determine whether it's a conspiracy or not.

From his perspective there isn't a conspiracy. That's all I am trying to get people in this thread to even consider. That maybe...just maybe, the world is bigger than what they have experienced.

Some have been victimized, unjustly accused (and convicted), harassed, etc...and just because it hasn't happened to you or you haven't witnessed it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

How would you know if there is a conspiracy affecting a certain group? You aren't in that group, so how can you unequivocally say there is or isn't.

Ever heard of Jim Crow? So don't say it's not possible for a segment of population to be treated differently than another....

Well it's not like he has a choice. Jerry Jones said you stand for the anthem or else.
