nah

Chubb gone, Johnathan Williams gone, and Fournette couldn't even get 10 yards on the Arkansas defense.

Didn't know Fournette faced Arky this season.

Get well soon to the other guys mentioned

Last year was pretty big too. I think it might be a resurgence of the position as after all the evolution of offenses make the conventional running attack contrarian and new again. Also it's a bit scary that the lesser schools used to have to go unconventional to compete but now they compete against each other and just make it easier for the power run teams.

When hasn't it been the year of the RB in the SEC? LSU/Bama/Auburn, even Arky have all had damn good running attacks for years.

Why? Because one SEC west team with a one dimensional offense has arguably the best RB in the country?

Just kidding, yeah why not, LF is heisman worthy, Collins is spectacular and Henry is still running on Kyle field.

So year of the running back? Yeah, at least in the sec west

Silly pig fans. Always have to hang their hat on the few wins of the past

For the SEC yes, I just wish Chubb could be playing.

I would say that we have seen a better stable of backs throughout CFB. IMO, I have to think its due to a shift from spread offenses. Teams had to recruit smaller faster DL to rush the passer. Now in order to counter attack we shifted back to a more balanced attack.
