Could the bottom of the barrel SEC team still win a lower tier conference?

Eventually, yes. But at the moment, I doubt it.

Ole Miss had the 21st best Pass Defense in the country last season. I think this year they'd do just fine with their defense leading the way for them. They could win the WAC, Sun Belt, MAC and C-USA. Boise would beat them in the MWC.

Sun Belt Coach would know how to deal with them, but Tulsa beat Notre Dame last year and UCF, So. Miss and ECU aren't exactly shite tier.

Ole miss vs. Tulsa, UCF, So. Miss., ECU

Idk man. They wouldn't be last though.

I'm pretty sure a top-level CUSA team could do better than having LSU take a knee with 5 minutes left

Did they not lose to La Tech last year? USM,ECU,Houston,Tulsa and UCF could all beat them.

Yes. We would struggle against some teams (not Southern Miss) but we would win 10 games. The reason we were so bad last year wasn't because of lack of talent. It was because we had an imbecile as a head coach, there was no game planning leading up to our games, no leadership on the team and our players had no conditioning whatsoever.

They start out with a lower tier division off the bat. That should be a telling sign.

LA Tech destroyed them last year.
