Could Florida and LSU play the Saturday of the Conference Championship Games?

I'm not really versed in the rules but if neither team qualified for Atlanta, could they not play in Gainesville? The Big 12 plays regular season games that week as well.

Would be really short notice unless they both lose another game each.

its selfish to assume LSU/Florida wont have a chance at their division, waiting to make that decision is stupid.

Florida could still win the east, so that would put a huge hold on that idea.

That makes no sense. This little move successfully kept the Tigers out of SECCG, more likely than not.
As for the Gators, I hope the remaining SEC teams they play beat the crap out of them!

They could play the Thursday before they each play a fcs school? Let the 2nd teamers play the small school...they should win
