I would imagine Petersen will be the clear winner if Washington continues this tear.

Good list. I don't think I would change much from that.

I would probably go with Harbaugh, Petersen and Grobe so far.

Nick Saban and Urban Meyer have no chance at winning the award and I'm fine with it. The expectations for them are too great to begin with to win the award.

Pretty much. The trophy is closer to "Most Improved Team of the Year" than "COTY". Alabama and OSU are already expected to make the playoffs. Winning the whole thing is, what, +1 or +2 more than expected?

If Washington finishes with 10+ wins, that will be way above expectations.
