He's a radio personality who was formerly on WJOX who catapulted to fame under the mid '00's and the recent success of Alabama and Auburn. He hosts a caller based show and has had a book and movie fashioned around his network. His contract ended with WJOX and it's thought that he will undergo the 90 day dead period to resurface with another media group.

If it had just been the mid 00's than yes, under the 00's would be in the early 00's. However it was two things that caused his fame, so the word "under" attributes his success to the two events listed.
