LSU is a huge rival to OM, and the Mannings have been a part of some big games in the series for both schools. Archie's cast. Eli's trip. Archie sums up how 90% of Ole Miss fans feel: going to a game at Tiger Stadium as a road opponent is our favorite football experience, probably moreso than a home game.

Are we sure the kid doesn't have spinal stenosis like Cooper?

Classy post of the year nominee. Who is it you root for? Oh yeah

No they don't and the article you posted proves it. Look, no Manning will ever play for LSU (or Alabama for that matter), but they don't hate LSU.

From the article YOU posted:

As a resident of Louisiana for 44 years, Manning has developed deep ties in the state and that includes LSU fans. He has an annual running bet with former Tiger quarterback Bert Jones, and Manning's sons were frequent visitors to Tiger Stadium despite playing college football elsewhere.

"One of Peyton's regrets is that he didn't get to play (as Tennessee's QB in Tiger Stadium). People on the radio get on me a little bit saying I kept my boys from going to LSU, and that wasn't true. I let my kids make their own decisions, didn't influence them. They both visited LSU and they went to games almost every Saturday night, almost every home game.

I've lived in New Orleans 44 years. I've lived in Louisiana a lot longer than I lived in Mississippi. I have great LSU friends. It's fun. I'm not an LSU hater. I'm a strong Southeastern Conference guy.

"Les Miles is a friend of mine. He invited me to speak at his coaches clinic and I was honored. I spent the day with him, saw the upgraded facilities, spoke with the coaches, it was a thrill for me."

Isn't the kid's name Archie?

No kid named Archie Manning will ever play at a school not named Ole Miss.

Cooper Manning's son is going into 7th grade at Newman and has already shown signs of being a terrific athlete and QB. Alabama in his future...

Correct. When he is old enough to fly, he will be navigating his private plane over that state and will open up it's lavatory contents.........

Ole Miss lock doesn't begin to describe the likelihood of this kid signing with Ole Miss.

A while back, Cooper had a radio program in Oxford during the football season. His nickname while going to Ole Miss his nickname was "Mr Oxford". I don't see his son going anywhere but Ole Miss.

Had the privilege to know Cooper when he was a student at Ole Miss. He is the most personable of the three boys. I admire how he handled Peyton choosing Tennessee, and believe me, some OM fans were not nice. He handled it all with grace, and stayed at Ole Miss when he could have left.

I hope his son goes to Ole Miss. The Manning legacy is powerful.
