For all you living vicariously through Cam Newton, Peyton Manning, or an early season victory over the eventual national champs, congrats to you. It's a well deserved victory!

Ironic coming from a Bama fan. You live your entire lives (and sometimes even die) vicariously through your football team.

Not an unexpected response.

I suppose living vicariously through the national champs is better than living vicariously through someone in the NFL who used to be associated with your program. So...

SEC! SEC! SEC!

The last I checked, NFL teams have more fans than college, and both players mentioned are on teams going to the Super Bowl.

Says a bammer that tried to live through Mccarron and the bengals just because a bammer QB finally won a game.

You would think winning a championship would make Bama fans less butt hurt by others succes, but nope still butt hurt by Cam and Manning

And we would have, too, if that pathetic LSU running back hadn't fumbled away the game. A pity.

The difference is we live our sports fandom vicariously through these things, and our sports fandom is but a section of our lives as a whole. Many Bama fans lives literally revolve solely around Alabama football.

I guess I'll give you a well deserved victory living vicariously through an Alabama team for which you never played

This is honestly one of saddest of the Cam posts today.
Unless you actually played on the team you cheer for, we are all living vicariously.

That's a lot more acceptable than leaving out originality in your OP.

how so? you can't attend school for the Carolina Panthers. Everyone becomes a fan of a professional team for a reason they'd be called a sidewalk fan at the college level.

Nobody throws out the "sidewalk" accusation except fans who have no legitimate point to make. It's really a stupid point - the more success a team has, the more fans they attract who didn't attend. So thanks for pointing out that Alabama has a tremendous amount of success.
